Dun Laoghaire Bowling Club Open Day

This year, our Open Day was on Sunday, 9th August. We were very lucky that it was during our warm dry spell of weather. Our advertising on social media and posters in local shops etc. were very successful.

On the day, about 50 people came in to the Club to try out bowling. We had a good number of our coaches, who were assisted by other members, to get everyone set up and delivering bowls. We had a big range of ages from about 12 to 80 plus. Everyone seemed to enjoy the experience. Some people took to it straight away and had excellent hand/eye co-ordination while others found it somewhat challenging.

We got 12 new members from the Open Day which is a very good return and, quite possibly, we will have more to follow.
