Flying Dutchmen visit Dun Laoghaire!

Four Dutch travellers, who were staying in Dublin, saw our website and requested a chance to play on our green. They have been to many places worldwide and love to try bowling greens on their travels.

Our Ladies' Captain, Gay, arranged the visit and got a team of four of our members to play with them. The 'match' was played on Friday, 18th September, and comprised two rinks made up of two of our members and two of the Dutch lads. The emphasis was more on fun rather than fame and, by all accounts, it was an extremely enjoyable afternoon and everyone had a great time.

Our visitors were really grateful for this opportunity and hope to return again to Dun Laoghaire some day. They will be most welcome.
